Project: Human Resources Action Form

Purpose: To simplify the management and processing of new hires and personnel information/status changes

Prior to this application, new hires and employee information/status updates were handled by having managers fill out a Microsoft Word form and initiating a manual workflow process. This process was cumbersome and tedious. Management needed a more reliable and efficient way of managing these transactions and to simply the user experience, as well as approval, tracking, and processing.

The user chooses one or more compatible "actions", enters effective date and basic user information, then fills out the form. Bit masking is used to determine action compatibility and which fields are shown/hidden and optional/required on the form.

Upon completion of the form, the user selects an approving manager (if applicable). A copy of the form is emailed to HR and the approving manager. To express approval, the manager simply replies to the email, which is sent to HR. The application is also available in Spanish.
