Back in 2005, I began using AJAX more extensively. I decided to develop an API to extend a Coldfusion component I had previously built to simplifiy common form validation tasks. It was used with success on some of our major projects (such as our corporate website) and is still in use today on our corporate website. This API is only used for Coldfusion applications as ASP.Net contains its own set of validation server controls.
