As you've probably guessed, I'm a bit of a quirky guy. One of the ways I express my odd sense of humor is by drawing cartoons on the whiteboard in my cubicle. However, sometimes I do use it for legitimate work purposes.

The most frequently recurring characters are Mr. Database and Mr. Flatfile. Mr. Database represents a typical relational database system, such as SQL Server or Oracle, whereas Mr. Flatfile represents a generic ASCII file based data store such as CSV, tab-delimited, etc. Originally, I made them up as visual aids to explain data storage concepts to our web designer, who happens to be a visual learner. From there, they evolved into a couple of joke-sters who will do anything for a laugh.
