Hello! My name is Jesse Kyzar. Thanks for visiting my site. I am a web programmer living and working in the New Orleans area.

Although my professional background is primarily in Coldfusion development, I'm currently working with C# on the ASP.Net platform.

In addition to Coldfusion and ASP.Net, I have also built a few sites with PHP/MySQL. Although it may seem outdated, PHP is still a good light-weight, low-cost solution for smaller, non-enterprise projects.

Regardless of application server, I strive to build robust and efficient web applications and often leverage stored procedures, bit masking, buffer flushing, DOM manipulation, and AJAX in order to achieve this goal. The security of a web application is also a critical issue and I understand how to encrypt sensitive data and guard against hacker attacks, particularly SQL injection.

On a personal level, I try to keep life in balance. I enjoy my career and feel blessed that I'm able to make a living at something I love to do, but at the same time life is too short and I refuse to become a workaholic. I can get the job done within 40 hours a week when given a reasonable deadline. I'm only human and my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ keeps me on track. When I'm not working, some of my hobbies include working out, shooting, fishing, surfing the internet, watching TV, sleeping, and occassionally writing code for a side project.
